You will fly into the international airport in Alajuela, Costa Rica, which is just west of San Jose.
Driving Directions: Take the PanAmerican highway just in front of the airport, for about fifteen minutes west and then head southwest. The signs will lead you towards Jaco, Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. That road will take you all the way to Villas Tranquilas!
When you get to Quepos stay on the highway and head towards the local airport. There, the highway will become a gravel road. The entry to Villas Tranquilas is approx. 1 mile (1.6 km) from where the road becomes gravel. The total trip is around 3 hours depending on weather, traffic, etc.
All roads except the last mile are paved highways. It is truly a beautiful drive. Arrangements can be made, so a member of our staff can meet you at this point and take you to your beautiful villa!
Another option is to take a commuter flight from the International Airport in Alajuela (San Jose) to Quepos. It’s only a twenty minute flight. You can book this by calling Lynch Travel at #011 (506) 777-1170 or go to Sansa’s website: flysansa.com Upon arrival you can take a taxi from the local airport to Villas Tranquilas, which is about 2 miles (3.2 km) away, or our property manager can arrange to have a rental car for you at the airport.
